
Seth Naeve, co-director of the Soybean Research Center here at the University of Minnesota attended the Coordinated Soybean Centers meeting in Indianapolis this past July.
The Coordinated Soybean Centers group “are a multi-state team of land grant universities and farmers across the soybean-producing states endeavoring to deliver high-level projects for farmer investment and federal and private-sector leverage and cooperation.” Participants from soybean centers and state boards from Iowa, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Ohio and Missouri were also in attendance.
The topics covered a broad scope of topics, from how to raise awareness to potential industry partners. Greg Tylka of Iowa State also presented on behalf of Sotirios Archontoulis, ISU agronomist, about a multi-state collaborative project proposal idea on continuous soybean with cereal rye. They left with several action items and plans for a next meeting in July 2024.
